Three arrested after city marches

Three men have been arrested for public order offences during marches held by British National Party members and anti-racism supporters in Liverpool.

The men are aged 20, 22 and 32 years, and from Prenton, Wallasey and Liverpool, Merseyside police said.

About 100 people from each campaign group were kept apart by police as they marched through the city centre.

Extra officers had been drafted in to cover the events, a police spokesman said.

Ch Supt Tony Doherty said: "The force liaised with both groups earlier in the week in a bid to minimise disruption to members of the public and to ensure that congestion was avoided where possible.

"Extra officers were brought in to ensure that everything ran smoothly and to reassure the public through highly visible policing."

Another platform for the B Nazi P scum, from Idiot Ketlon Osowski at Lancaster Unity, hasn't anyone taught him how to write, he's made the UAF anti fascists sound like a bunch of football BNP thugs, Below is part of what he wrote, its unbelievably stupid, making the BNP sound like victims.

Dealing with violent protests which broke out during a controversial BNP Red, White and Blue festival cost Derbyshire police a quarter of a million pounds. During the event, anti-BNP protesters clashed with police, leaving residents trapped inside their homes, the police are deploying resources to protect the local community and combat potential crime at this event, masked anti-BNP activists fought hand-to-hand with riot officers on the first day of the festival, pelting them with stones. The violence happened when protesters tried to barricade a road leading to the festival. Police armed with batons moved in to quell the demonstrators, making 34 arrests. All those arrested remain on police bail.

Simon Darby, BNP spokesman, said protesters should pay towards the police’s costs for the event. He said: "None of the arrests were from the BNP party. I think that says it all. "
